Ana K Ortiz, MD
Dr. Ortiz is currently a family medicine resident at the Scripps Chula Vista Family Medicine program with a focus on Border health and immigrant health advocacy. She graduated from UC San Diego School of Medicine and was a member of PRIME Health Equity, a program dedicated to the needs of underserved populations in California. She studied biomedical engineering at Harvard College as an undergraduate and obtained a Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public health during medical school.
Dr. Ortiz is passionate about mentoring students at all levels of education and has been an advocate for undocumented and DACA students through various organizations. She plans to continue taking care of patients of all ages in underserved communities while continuing to advocate for policy change, reducing health disparities, and working toward a more equitable healthcare system.
