Yelennia Palacios, MD
Dr. Yelennia Palacios is a Family Medicine Physician at Vista Community Clinic, a federally qualified health care center of Orange County, CA. She is a graduate from the Family Medicine Residency Program at Scripps Chula Vista. She received her medical degree from UC Irvine School of Medicine where she was a part of the dual-degree program, PRIME-LC.
In 2014 she attended UC Hastings in San Francisco where she received her Masters in Law with a concentration in Health Law & Policy. On June 2020 she completed a chief year/junior faculty position with the residency. During her residency, she was part of the Maternal & Child Health Track where her focus was in pediatric care and women’s health including Obstetrics.
She is a native of Los Angeles County and is a child of immigrant parents from Mexico. She is the first of her family to attend a University of California school and be a physician. She is married and is a mother to a sweet boy. Currently she is working in an underserved area of Orange County where she is practicing full spectrum care with an emphasis in Women’s Health, including prenatal care.
Dr. Palacios is passionate about diminishing health care inequalities and is striving towards a healthcare system for all. She serves as a mentor to students and hopes to inspire others towards achieving their dreams.
